About the role

As a Senior Accountant at Karifin & Co., you own the day-to-day financial reporting for a portfolio of client businesses across the UAE. You work close to the numbers — from month-end close and reconciliations through to VAT filings and management reporting — and you become the person those clients call when something needs to be understood, not just recorded. Success in this role looks like clean, audit-ready books and clients who always know exactly where they stand.

What you do day-to-day

Own month-end close for a portfolio of UAE client accounts, from journals through to reporting

Prepare and review reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset schedules

Prepare and file VAT returns and support corporate tax compliance

Produce monthly management reports and talk clients through what the numbers actually mean

Maintain audit-ready records and support external auditors at year end

Onboard new clients — set up the chart of accounts, migrate historic data, and establish the reporting rhythm

What we expect

4+ years in accounting, with at least 2 in a multi-client or outsourced environment

Part-qualified or qualified ACCA, CA, or CPA

Working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance

Confident in Xero, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books

Structured way of working — you rely on checklists, processes, and systems

Fluent written and spoken English

How we onboard you

Your first 30 days are about our systems, our processes, and your portfolio. You are paired with a senior for every client handover and trained on the close checklist end to end.

From day 31 you run your own month-end close with review support, and you take the lead on client reporting calls.

After 90 days you own your portfolio independently, with weekly sparring and a clear development plan towards your qualification.
